Job Purpose:

Building on the strong growth experienced in financial software business, Finastra wishes to recruit highly motivated and performance driven individuals who will be responsible for proactively engaging with our customers, partners and prospects to create pipeline and drive business opportunities in the region.

These individuals will be expected to have excellent domain knowledge of cloud solutions business, acquired either through working with software vendor or through direct work experience acquired on similar function.

As part of their role, the individuals are expected to show a deep understanding of the business processes of financial institutions and be able to position the value of Finastra solution offerings (product and services) to help address those needs. As such this role requires this individual to lead external engagement and work collaboratively and closely with the sales, product management and services teams to be successful.

The chosen individuals will be expected to work independently or with a diverse team to lead by example and exercise leadership through credibility and accountability and play a leading role in the development of a significant business in the region and at a global level for Finastra in the Financial Services sector.

…What will you contribute?

Working as part of the sales team, you will provide support to the sales process through delivery of solution demonstrations and providing subject matter expertise in the proposal process and other pre-sales activities.  Maintain and enhance the demonstration environment to maximize efficacy of use case scenarios and in-depth examples.

Key Responsibilities:

Your deliverables as a Lead Technical Solutions Consultant will include, but are not limited to, the following:

General Profile

  • Recognized as a technical expert within the job discipline and requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad
  • Lead the SCE Cloud Engineering team in providing assistance to SCE teams
  • Work in close collaboration with the SCE Product teams and regional Global Solutions teams
  • Work with, and provide training and assistance for SCE Teams and regional Global Solutions team in the designated application areas
  • Recommend and document new processes that will result to better day to day operations
  • Develops innovative/cutting-edge solutions, processes and best practices
  • Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program or services
  • Help in server maintenance in the internal network and in the cloud (AWS & Azure)
  • Coordinate project deliverables, help monitor and evaluate the progress
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Regarded as the technical expert in their particular job discipline
  • Requires expert level skills in technology stacks used
  • Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the business segment, LOB or function

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view
  • Very good understanding of the market trends and current financial technology
  • Technical expertise to help in building wining solutions on the Central Demo system or on client specific environment as part of Proof of Concept exercises
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Autonomy, Auto-motivation, Problem solving, and Decision making are key
  • Provides technical advice and consults authoritatively with clients

Required Experience

  • 8 years or more, experience in the IT industry
  • 8 years or more, experience in IT support, DevOps, DBA, Development, Implementation or Customer Support function
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an advantage
  • Hands on experience with Linux mandatory and with Windows Server desirable
  • Able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
  • Seeks input and involvement from others to ensure all views are inputted, captured, objections were handled, and a desired tangible outcome is agreed
  • Effectively presents information in a manner that is clear, fluent, and to the point demonstrates ability to adapt communication to different audiences and engage the audience.

Technical Skills Required

  • Experience with Java Script
  • Experience with Web and Web Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, WebLogic)
  • Experience on Open API
  • Experience on REST Service
  • Knowledge on Web Services, XML, XSD
  • Knowledge on message brokers (ActiveMQ, IBM WebSphere MQ, JMS)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience on Oracle Database, Oracle Reports Services 
  • Experience on Bash/KSH/CSH
  • DevOps background highly desirable

Education/Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree on: Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a general office environment
  • Travel may be required
  • Must have a valid passport and willingness to travel internationally on short term assignments.
