Job Description
FXSpotStream seeks a summer intern for its Tokyo office. Applicants must be energetic, industrious, willing to learn, and interested in the foreign exchange market. Requirements: must be completing his or her penultimate year at a well-regarded university; must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer; must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The summer intern will gain interesting and valuable experience in the areas of sales, relationship management, client support and services and potentially other areas as well.
Responsibilities
- Observe and assist in the day to day operations of the Service and participate in internal and external calls/meetings
- Responsibilities may also include conducting data research projects and presenting findings to maximize efficiency for clients and LPs, and working with CRM software to maximize data sharing throughout company
- The intern may gain experience across the Company’s functions, including Support, Relationship Management, Product, and back office functions
Qualifications
Our internship program is aimed at students, close to completing their university education. A strong interest in financial markets and electronic trading is a plus, as well as any FX knowledge or experience. All training for specific software will be provided, though proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
FXSpotStream is a bank owned consortium operating as a market utility providing the infrastructure that facilitates a multibank API and GUI to route orders from clients to Liquidity Providers.
FXSpotStream was founded in 2011 and operates as a market utility, providing a multibank FX streaming, RFS and matching services supporting trading in FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDF/NDS and Precious Metals Spot and Swaps. Banks connected to FXSpotStream serve as Liquidity Providers to clients.
Clients can access a GUI or single API from co-location sites in New York, London and Tokyo and can communicate with all Liquidity Providing banks connected to FXSpotStream. FXSpotStream also offers over its API access to all of the Algos of the FXSpotStream liquidity providers and supported pre and post trade Allocations.
FXSpotStream has revolutionized the FX trading landscape by eliminating on its core streaming offering the cost of execution for price takers and allowing price makers the ability to pay a flat fee for providing prices to their clients.
