Job Description

About the Job:

Responsibility:
•Delivery responsibility up to medium to large projects
•Ensure proper planning, execution, test and deployment of deliveries
•Communicate to stakeholders in timely and accurate fashion
•Resolving conflicts and removal of team impediments
•Responsible for quality of deliverables – both functionally and operationally
•Identify Risks and proactively seek to mitigate or minimize, and if not possible, expose, escalate and communicate them
•Ensure that all relevant operational BUs (affected by changes) are involved both during and at rollout
•Estimate project budgets, and deliver on set targets
•Ensure clarity and transparency around project spending's vs budgeted amount
•Report status into established governance forum – e.g. Steering group – and follow corporate guidelines for minimum reporting structure
•Responsible for ensuring that a backlog of work is present and maintained
•Ensure that project backlog provides team with clarity over priority, requirements, solution breakdown and progress on book of work
•Partner with project key stakeholders to apply needed drive where needed to successfully launch project – thereby extending focus from simply delivering capabilities towards delivering outcomes
•Be a driver for operational and structural changes, where necessary, within assigned BU
•Acknowledged leader – ability to drive complicated changes through applied leadership
Mandate:
•At Departmental level: Identify project weaknesses and seek ways to improve how we work, through process improvements, structural improvements or tool improvements
•To alter workflows and processes if it improves corporation between your department and other departments
•Decision mandate regarding resource allocation and team priorities alignment with team objectives
•Adapting the agile software development processes to suit the needs of the team and to the project
•Mandate to push plans. Never compromise on quality which leads to poor client experience, increased operational risk or increased subsequent maintenance burden
