Your role at Exness:

As part of our Product Team, you'll play a crucial role in developing mission-critical internal products that must meet the highest standards of quality, speed, and reliability. These products include comprehensive network connectors, business-related services, data storage solutions, and analytical systems.

We are a dedicated team focused on establishing and maintaining high-speed network connections with data providers, while applying mathematical models in real-time. This work involves performance testing, historical data analysis, backtesting, as well as both manual and automated testing.

You will collaborate closely with Engineers and Quantitative Researchers to ensure flawless functionality across the entire product flow. Your responsibilities will include rigorously testing network connections, data transmission, and internal features from end to end. Working alongside Engineers, Business Analysts, and Quantitative Researchers, you will develop detailed test cases and oversee the testing process to guarantee exceptional trading conditions for our clients.

Our goal is to ensure reliable and rapid connections, fast and immediate data processing, secure transmission and storage, and consistent information availability for our consumers. Our backend is primarily built in C++ and Go. 

You will:

  • Deploy and configure system components.
  • Collaborate on data streaming product development.
  • Ensure product quality, security, reliability, and performance.
  • Define the test strategy and align it with the team.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases for the entire system.
  • Analyze and test functional requirements and validate business analyst requirements.
  • Combine different testing methods and approaches to ensure optimal test coverage 
  • Develop automated tests, and enhance test framework and test infrastructure.
  • Participate in the establishment and enhancement of testing processes.
  • Propose and define test strategies.
  • Design systems for test data generation and backtesting.
  • Carry out testing and provide test reports with results.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify errors.
  • Create data visualizations.
  • Keep records of test case executions.
  • Track test case execution and monitor production metrics.
  • Deploy system components and configure settings.
  • Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and performance of the company's products are maintained at high standards.

What makes you a great fit:

  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in backend systems
  • Strong knowledge of the testing process, methodologies, approaches, and test design techniques
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, WebSocket, REST API and web services technologies.
  • Knowledge of financial protocols (e.g. FIX).
  • Proficiency in automation with Python or Go
  • Knowledge of SQL and data processing methods.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. GitLab, Terraform)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-driven orientation (prioritizing, taking the initiative, taking ownership).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least an upper-intermediate level of English

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with real-time data services.
  • Experience with Docker/k8s/Grafana.
  • Experience with AWS, S3, cloud computing.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, ETL, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience in the financial trading fintech industry.
  • Knowledge of C++, JavaScript, Bash.
