The StoneX Agricultural & Biofuels desk provides its clients with market access and all associated supports to exchange traded and OTC swaps markets. With a strong focus on supporting our clients in hedging operational price risk exposure our desk is working with the full commercial value chain across the EMEA. We specialise in supporting clients with access & support across an extensive derivative product suit, including futures, spreads, options, strucutres options & Swaps. 

Responsibilities

Supporting the trade desk with client onboarding and all related matters

Liaising with middle office staff for time sensitive trade input
• Maintaining customer details
• Building reports as required
• To perform ad hoc tasks as necessary to assist the broking and trading staff
• Understand the desk’s business strategy and continually improve the operating model.
• Participate in pre- and post-trading operational duties including trade reconciliation, trade
booking, etc. in compliance with regulations and internal company policies
• Establish and maintain relationships and connections in the Commodities Market
• Maintain awareness of the risk and compliance culture and comply with company
policies for which you have any level of responsibility
• Understand the risks and controls on your desk; what could go wrong, what controls you
must prevent/detect or contain these
• Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, responsibility, skill and diligence
to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate
• Observe standards of market conduct and ensure you are aware of, understand and
comply with all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to your
role
• Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience
• May be required to complete the applicable regulated financial exams
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite products
• Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations
• General interest in financial markets and global events
• Knowledge of the Exchange Traded Futures and Options space front to back

 

Qualification and Skills
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Fluent in another language helpful but not necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Commercial awareness
