Business Unit Overview:
Private Wealth Solutions (PWS) was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth Solutions team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.
Job Description:
Drive fund onboarding firm-wide working group as a project manager for Blackstone open-ended and closed-end Funds with onshore and offshore distribution platforms including creating and updating task trackers, facilitating internal calls, distributing meeting summaries, and offline follow-ups
Setup and ensure the operational services delivered to clients and internal/external business partners
Daily client servicing to mainly Operational/Product oversight functions at Distributors, Sub-advisory partners such as local asset managers, Fund administrators interacting with internal Business Units: Private Wealth Solutions (PWS); Private Equity; Credit; Hedge Funds & Real Estate
Deal with high complex subject matter such as issue solving with minimum oversight, but well connected with the relevant teams
Plan and execute better investor service models
Support team members to maintain and produce the high-quality and timely investor services
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor’s Degree
7+ years of financial industry experience (fund/distributor onboarding, project management, or client services is preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English
Understanding of fund operating model is desired
Being familiar with fund documents is plus
Knowledge of alternative investment fund is preferred but not a must
Possess strong technical and analytical skills
Problem Analysis and resolution; Ability of identify & summarize issues & recommendations
Attention to detail and accuracy with logical insights
Ability to perform at a high-level within an entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence in a deadline driven environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
Highly driven and proactive with the ability to take initiative
Ability to work independently in a team‐oriented environment
Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, teams, and clients
Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
Relevant local Financial Product Sales Licenses is plus
