We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence resource to collaborate with stakeholders in data discovery, governance, and BI development. Consult stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable data solutions. Create interactive reports using PowerBI, Tableau, etc. Deliver insights to enhance revenue and margins.
Key Responsibilities:
The work will entail collaborating with a large team on (1) discovery and requirements gathering, (2) data lineage and governance efforts, and (3) business intelligence development in the form of reports and dashboards.
Deliver on pricing Annual Operating plan through surfacing insights to improve margins and revenue.
Creating and developing actionable interactive reports and dashboards using statistical and business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, and others
Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify areas for improvement and generate insights into products and services.
Translating business requirements for data products (datasets, reports, dashboards) into data solutions; creating calculated measures, columns, relationships, etc
Analyzing source systems and designing new data structures for high-volume, complex data
Accessing, transforming, cleansing, and testing data products using programming languages such as M, DAX, Python, R, and SQL
Designing data visualization strategies that make large or complex datasets more understandable, accessible, and usable.
Communicating (orally and in written form) analytical results displayed through data visualizations to diverse stakeholder groups.
Conducting user-centered research to better understand End user behavior and needs related to data products.
Translating customer requirements for report and dashboards into a prioritized backlog of features and user stories
Developing wireframes or prototypes of potential data visualizations to share with stakeholder groups to collect feedback.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, AWS quicksight) to develop interactive data visualizations (e.g. charts, graphs)
A few years of experience using M and DAX languages to build Power BI models and using programming languages (e.g. Python, R) to structure and analyze data
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Knowledge of data architecture and modelling, including relational databases
Experience working in an Agile environment working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products
