Flow Traders is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our Security team in our Amsterdam office and propel our cybersecurity initiatives into the future. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our security landscape, driving projects that enhance our defenses, and ensuring the safety of our data across global operations.

What you will do

• Spearhead security projects, from conceptualization to deployment, across various domains including cloud and on-premises environments
• Problem solve and support the organisation on all levels in all things security related
• Collaborate with global tech teams to integrate security solutions that support business objectives
• Analyze, respond, and lead efforts on complex security incidents and threats
• Regularly audit and enhance our security frameworks and practices to mitigate emerging risks
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a proactive security culture

What you need to succeed

• 4-8 years of experience in IT security, preferably with a BSc/MSc in Security or related field
• Proficiency in automation/programming/scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash and experience with security tools such as SOAR, EDR, NDR,  SIEM, and/or Firewalls)
• Strong analytical skills with expert knowledge of operating systems, networking, and contemporary security practices
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural team
• Expert knowledge of operating systems, networking, cloud, digital assets and security concepts
• Enthusiasm to continuously learn and teach new technologies and tools
