Job Description

The Financial Controller is part of this department and ensures that the processes take place in accordance with Saxo guidelines and standards. In addition, there are contacts with, among others, the (internal) accountants and tax specialists and outsourced parties of Saxo. The Financial Controller also receives input from management and the board.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will perform various financial analysis, with the prime focus on payroll and supporting during the month-end closure of Saxo.

Financial:

  • Performing audit procedures on entered data, connections of systems and data for reporting activities
  • Quality assessment of the work carried out by the Shared Service Centre Accounting and our payroll providers
  • Ensuring the quality of the payroll month-end reconciliations
  • Responsible of timely and correct payroll administration of 3 branches (NL, BE and FR)
  • Assistance in ensuring the correct booking of the journals (by the SSC)
  • Maintain contact with the local branches
  • Collection and analysis of financial data

ICT:

  • Speeding up various financial processes/more efficient processes through
  • Optimizing efficiency and synergy between Finance, Business and outsources parties (avoiding duplication of work)

Other:

  • Creating "Financial awareness" within Saxo
  • Participating in (organization-wide) projects

Your Profile:

  • MBO or HBO plus level with 3 to 5 years'+ of experience in a dynamic organization
  • Knowledge of ERP systems AFAS and Navision is an advantage
  • Demonstrable ability in supporting/checking payroll and month end
