Business Analyst  in our office in London

As a Business Analyst you will be instrumental in analysing and understanding user needs, focusing on how they interact with our back-office platforms and risk management systems.

Your insights and comprehensive documentation will be crucial in shaping our software solutions to meet business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify stakeholders' needs for new software and document these requirements.
  • Analyse and identify ways to improve business processes and systems.
  • Map business processes to understand and improve how they align with software functions.
  • Translate business needs into precise technical requirements for the development team.
  • Keep ongoing communication with business and IT teams to align project goals and updates.
  • Keep clear records of business requirements, process changes, and project progress.
  • Test software solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Analyse system data to support decision-making and assess software performance.
  • Ensure that all solutions and processes adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in analysing data using tools like SQL and Excel
  • Strong skills in identifying, analysing, and solving business problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear idea conveyance.
  • Aptitude for liaising and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competence in managing projects, prioritising tasks, and adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and eagerness to learn.
  • High precision in analysis and documentation for accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and industry-specific knowledge.

 

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the specific sector relevant to the employer
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and business intelligence software
  • Experience in software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing, and improving business processes
  • An MBA or master's degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  • Business Analysis certifications are beneficial, such as PMI-PBA or CBAP
  • Project Management certifications are beneficial, such as PMP, CAPM or Prince2
