We are on an exciting journey to bring Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) to the next level and are looking for a motivated and talented Risk Associates to join our team at the Group’s Headquarters in Copenhagen.
The Group Non-Financial Risk team is part of the Group Risk and Capital Management, Saxo’s second line risk management function. Within Group Non-Financial Risk, the Business Risk Management team acts as a partner to the business and engages with all functional areas to support the practical implementation and embedment of non-financial risk management, to enable our team to identify and manage its non-financial risks effectively.
Also, the team is global accountable for the Group’s Non-Financial risk management framework content as well as execution of the second line, responsibilities and tasks (incl. risk advice, monitoring, challenge and review) of the NFRM framework for Saxo.
Responsibilities
As a Risk Associate, you will be working in close collaboration with the whole Non-Financial Risk Management team, under supervision of our senior risk managers. The Associate role is an entry-level role that will allow you to gain insight and grow your knowledge within the Non-Financial Risk domain.
Your responsibilities will typically be part of the below processes:
Supporting the implementation and embedding of NFRM framework, policies and minimum standards
Advising and challenging first line business units in how to respond to non-financial risks identified as a result of risk assessments, risk events, etc.
Facilitating and/or participating in various risk assessments, including business processes and change projects
Providing risk advice and review of processes related to changes in governance, material projects, vendor risk management, development of new products and services, etc
Monitoring the execution of risk mitigating actions
Evaluating key controls’ design and operating effectiveness
Contributing to the Group’s risk culture, providing NFRM training to first line
Providing timely, relevant and value creating risk information
Your profile
You have a graduate degree, and have some work experience, either part time during your studies, or after graduation. You thrive on delving into more complex issues and are able to develop practical solutions that serve stakeholder needs.
You have an interest in understanding the financial markets.
You are motivated, curious in nature and eager to acquire knowledge in new areas. You have a structured and methodical approach to tasks and take a high degree of ownership, while also being able to work in a team setting. You thrive on finding intelligent and automated solutions and appreciate removing obstacles and impediments. You enjoy working in an international, cross-cultural environment and interact well with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You have good communication skills and are fluent in English.
